CoVID-19
Be Kind, Be Supportive, Be Alert, Be Careful
Harmony Christian Church has been taking steps to respond to Covid-19. Just like many other churches across the USA HCC did not gather in person for many months in the Spring of 2020. Since we started meeting in person HCC has been cleaning the building between gatherings.
On Sundays at HCC there are masks and hand sanitizer available. Seating in our Family Life Center is set up for social distancing. In addition a person can pick up a black, orange or red wristband to signify their personal comfort level from non-contact to limited contact. Wearing a wristband, if you so choose, is a simple way to communicate to others your comfort level without having to say a word.
Over all HCC asks people during this time to:
Be Kind - This is a stressful time for us all. Tensions and anxieties are running high. So be kind. If asked by an individual to don a mask before talking to them please do so. The Golden Rule applies here: Do to others what you would have them do to you.
Be Supportive - People need support during this time. Parents are trying to figure out school for their children. Many people are feeling more alone than ever. There are people all around you that could use your support. Your phone calls and texts to family and friends are meaningful. Check in on one another.
Be Alert - Covid-19 is real and has caused the deaths and illness of many. Be alert to your health and how you interact with others. If you have a fever, have lost your ability to smell or taste then please check in with your healthcare provider and self quarantine. If you have been exposed to someone who has Covid-19 please self quarantine. Be alert to your health and take the steps needed to take care of yourself and those around you.
Be Careful - Taking precautions such as wearing a mask, washing your hands, staying home and social distancing are all ways to love yourself and your neighbor. Be aware that your choices impact others. Be careful as you go about your daily routine.
